The restoration of this 19th century brick multi-family house was a real challenge.
Given the age and structural integrity of the building, we felt a responsibility to respect the original details while designing to the owners’ highly developed formal aesthetic…all within a strict budget. As a result we went through a longer than normal design phase with Harry Simino Architects in order to arrive at and eventually fight for our shared vision. The resulting space is both cozy and modern, over a robust and traditional canvas.
